Fee Schedule
Fees
Pertel Field, Middle Field or North Field Rental
The Rental Fees are as follows:

Baseball or Softball Game

                        Bowdoinham Resident - $25 per game
                        Non-Bowdoinham Resident - $30 per game
                        Non-Profit or Business - $25 per game

Baseball or Softball Practices
                        Bowdoinham Resident - $20 per practice
                        Non-Bowdoinham Resident - $25 per practice
                        Non-Profit or Business - $20 per practice

Additional cost of $5 for use of lime to line the field and $10 for the use of Quick Dry.


The Rental must include set-up and clean-up and are done in 2-hour practice blocks and 3-hour game blocks. A checklist of what needs to be done will be provided.
Must use your own baseball equipment such as bats, balls, gloves, etc.
Payment shall be made when reserving the fields. Rentals shall not be held until payment is made.

Deposit
A $100 security deposit is required at time of reservation to be held at the Bowdoinham Town Office. The security deposit will be returned if the Field is left in good order and no damage is evident. The security deposit will not be returned if the Field is not cleaned, or if there is damage from the renter.

Waiver of Rental Fees
The Town Manager and Recreation Director have the authority to waive any or all rental fees noted above. Such waiver may take into consideration the organization requesting the waiver, the purpose of the event and the ability of the renter to pay the rental fee.

Insurance
The renter must add the Town of Bowdoinham as an additional insured to their insurance certificate. A copy of the organization’s insurance certificate must be submitted to the Town. Commercial Food Vendors must provide proof of liability insurance. All insurance and sales certificates must be sent with application to be considered complete.
 
Covid-19
 
All current Covid-19 regulations set by the State of Maine must be enforced before, during, and after your rental. Regulations set regarding masks, social distancing, number of guests, etc, must be followed and enforced. Any rentals that do not follow current State of Maine Covid-19 Regulations will be shut down immediately with no refund.

Rules

 
  1. The Town will maintain a calendar for the Recreation Fields listing events and rental times and will schedule all use of the fields.
  2. Music and noise will be kept at a level that does not offend the neighbors. All music must be turned off at 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Music must be turned off at 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
  3. Smoking and open flames are not permitted at the fields.
  4. There shall be no alcohol consumption on the premises.
  5. Carry in, carry out! All trash must be removed. 
  6. Animal waste. All animal waste must be picked up.
  7. The Town Manager, under his or her sole discretion, may prohibit a group or individual from using the fields.
  8. Public Events

  10. The renter is responsible for all vendors at their event.
  11. Private Events.
  12. The renter is responsible for all vendors at their event.
  13. Vendors (except clubs, associations, and non-profits) must provide sales certificate. Commercial Food Vendors must provide proof of liability insurance. All insurance and sales certificates must be sent with application to be considered complete.
 
 Recreation Fields Checklist
 
Before Practice or Game
  1. Drag Field
  2. Chalk Field (For games)
  3. Remove anchor plugs and Install Bases
  4. Check Dugouts for foreign objects
  5. Make sure nothing is out of the ordinary
After Practice or Game
  1. Take out bases and put in anchor plugs
  2. Drag Field
  3. Rake loose dirt off grass
  4. Rebuild the mound and home plate areas
  5. Sweep and clean dugouts
  6. Dispose of all trash in and around the field and bleacher areas
  7. Make sure all equipment is put back where it belongs
