Ararat Softball Minors/Majors
Ararat Softball League for 9-12 year olds

Ararat Youth Softball plays in the Maine Babe Ruth Softball League and offers youth softball to children ages 9-12 from the towns of Topsham, Harpswell, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Richmond, Bath, Wiscasset and Boothbay. Our local league begins in late April and runs through early June. Welcome to Ararat Nation! This is for the Minor and Major team ages (see below).
--> If you have a daughter younger than the ages listed, Bowdoinham Recreation will offer Quick Ball and Rookie Softball - registrations will be out soon for those programs.
New for this season, registration for our "Minors" and "Majors" divisions will occur directly through our Ararat League site. Minors and Majors teams will be assembled by town(s) at the conclusion of registrations. Bowdoinham will continue to offer Quick ball/ Rookie softball programs for children under the age of 9*. Players aged 9-12 (as of December 31st, 2023) are permitted to sign up for Babe Ruth Softball through the Ararat Youth Softball website: https://araratyouthbaseball.sportngin.com/register/form/628946860
*If you have an 8 year old that you would like considered for playing minors please reach out via email to recreation@bowdoinham.com for further information. Please keep in mind that safety is our number one priority, and we will decide as a board at the end of registrations. Other requirement is having played at the rookie level.
Registration for Minors/Majors is open now until March 15th. There will be a preseason clinic held in March. Details to follow after your child is registered.
Anyone interested in volunteering as a coach this season must register through our website as well. In accordance with their partnership with Babe Ruth League, Inc., our new website performs the mandatory background check and offers abuse prevention training (good for 2 years).
