Ararat Baseball League

Ararat Youth Baseball plays in the Maine Cal Ripken Baseball League and offers youth baseball to children ages 9-12 from the towns of Topsham, Harpswell, Bowdoin and Bowdoinham. Our local league begins in mid/late April and runs through early June. Welcome to Ararat Nation! This is for the Minor and Major team ages (see below).

--> If you have a child younger than the ages listed, Bowdoinham Recreation will offer Quick Ball, Rookie Baseball and Rookie Softball - registrations will be out February 1 for those programs.

--> Softball (major and minor teams) will be organizing in a similar structure as baseball this year. Registrations will be open soon - we'll send another email when that one goes live. 

Similar to last season, registration for our "Minors" and "Majors" Cal Ripken divisions will occur directly through our league. The town rec departments of Topsham, Harpswell, Bowdoin and Bowdoinham will continue to offer tee ball/ rookie baseball programs for children under the age of 9*. Players from our SAD 75 towns aged 9-12 (as of April 30, 2024) are permitted to sign up for Cal Ripken Baseball through the Ararat Youth Baseball website: https://www.araratyouthbaseball.com/ 

*If you have an 8 year old that you would like considered for playing minors please reach out via email to araratyouthbaseball@gmail.com for further information. Please keep in mind that safety is our number one priority, and we will need to have your child attend the mandatory assessment at the end of clinics. Other requirements are having played at the rookie level, as well as board approval after the assessment. 

Registration for Minors/Majors is open now until March 1st. There will be preseason clinics held in March. Details to follow after your child is registered. 

Anyone interested in volunteering as a coach this season must register through our website as well. In accordance with their partnership with Babe Ruth League, Inc., our new website performs the mandatory background check and offers abuse prevention training (good for 2 years).
